Phone numbers are required for both inbound and outbound calling. Every outbound call needs an originating number, and every inbound agent needs a number that incoming calls can be routed to. RapidCall supports two ways to set this up.

Buy a new number

You can buy a new phone number directly through the RapidCall platform. Numbers are provisioned through Twilio and are available in most countries. This is the simplest option for getting started, especially if you do not need to use an existing business line.

Connect an existing number

You can also connect an existing business number through SIP trunking. This option is useful if you want your agents to operate through your current telephony setup or continue using numbers your customers already recognise. To connect a number this way, you will need:
  • the number in E.164 format,
  • a termination URI,
  • and, if required, authentication credentials.

Optional features for US numbers

For US numbers, RapidCall also supports optional trust and identity features:
  • Verified Phone Number - $10/month, designed to reduce spam flagging and improve answer rates,
  • Branded Caller ID - $0.10 per call, designed to display your business name on the contact’s screen when supported.
These add-ons can help improve trust and outbound call performance, especially in higher-volume campaigns.
