RapidCall uses a pure pay-as-you-go billing model. There are no monthly subscriptions, no seat fees, no per-agent charges, and no minimum spend. You pay only for what you use, and you can see your usage and charges at any time from the Billing section inside the platform. Billing is handled through Stripe. Your payment method is stored securely with Stripe, and card details are never stored on RapidCall servers. Charges build up as your agents make and receive calls, and you are billed monthly based on actual usage. There is no prepaid balance or top-up system. If your agents make no calls during a billing period, there is no usage charge for that period. New accounts receive $20 in free call credit to get started. This credit is applied automatically and can be used for early testing and first live calls before standard billing begins.

How charges work

RapidCall billing is broken down by component. You are not charged a single flat rate per minute. Instead, each part of the call stack is metered separately. That means your effective cost depends on the voice provider, language model, and phone setup used by each agent.

Billing components

For example, if an agent uses Claude 4.5 Haiku as the model and ElevenLabs as the voice provider, a one-minute call includes separate charges for:
  • platform minutes,
  • ElevenLabs text-to-speech,
  • and Claude 4.5 Haiku.
If you switch that same agent to a different voice or model stack, those component charges change accordingly, while the platform-minute charge remains. This gives you clear visibility into where your spend is coming from and makes it easier to choose the right balance between quality and cost. In practice, production-ready agent costs can start from around $0.15 per minute, depending on the stack used.

The Billing page

The Billing page is located under System in the left sidebar. It contains two main tabs:
  • Billing History
  • Usage

Billing History

The Billing History tab shows your current billing-period charges along with past invoices. The current-period section includes a line-by-line breakdown of the charges accumulated since the start of the active billing cycle. This includes platform minutes, voice providers, language models, and any recurring fees. Below that, past invoices are listed by date with:
  • invoice total,
  • payment status,
  • and a download link.
Invoices are generated through Stripe and can be used for accounting and expense reporting.

Usage

The Usage tab gives you a more operational view of spending. At the top of the page, summary cards show:
  • Current Period - total charges in the active billing cycle,
  • Phone Numbers - number of active phone numbers,
  • Calls This Month - total calls and total minutes,
  • Billing Status - whether your payment method is active.
Below the summary cards, the page is divided into two areas:
  • Recurring Charges - fixed monthly costs such as phone number rental and caller ID add-ons,
  • Usage Charges - variable usage-based charges broken down by component.
The Usage tab can be filtered by:
  • Current Period
  • All Time
  • Custom Date Range
The custom range is useful when you want to measure the cost of a specific campaign or compare usage between periods.

Manage Billing

The Manage Billing button in the top-right corner opens the Stripe customer portal. From there, you can:
  • update your payment method,
  • review invoice history,
  • and manage your billing details.
All payment management is handled directly through Stripe.

Reading your invoice

Each invoice reflects one billing period and lists charges by component. A typical invoice may include separate line items for:
  • one or more voice providers,
  • one or more language models,
  • platform minutes,
  • phone number rental,
  • and any optional caller ID services.
If you see multiple voice providers or multiple models on the same invoice, that usually means you have been testing different agent configurations or running agents with different stacks. This is normal. RapidCall tracks each component independently so you can see exactly what each part costs. Charges reset with each new billing cycle. There is no rollover, carryover credit, or balance accumulation between paid invoice periods.

Keeping costs under control

Because billing is usage-based, costs scale directly with call activity. A few simple habits help keep spend predictable: Check the Usage tab regularly
The Usage tab updates in real time. If you are running active campaigns, review it regularly so you can see where spend is building.
Test on lighter stacks first
During development, use a more cost-efficient voice and model setup. Move to heavier configurations only once the prompt and logic are validated.
Use custom date ranges
If you want to understand the cost of a specific campaign, filter the Usage tab to the exact campaign dates.
Watch your phone number count
Phone numbers have recurring monthly charges even when they are not actively being used. Release unused numbers to avoid unnecessary cost.

In simple terms

RapidCall billing is built to be transparent. You pay for actual usage, recurring charges are shown clearly, and every major component of cost is visible inside the platform. That gives you control over spend without needing to guess where the money is going.
